Death Note is a 108-chapter thriller that operates as a pure intellectual duel between two minds, neither of which will concede the game is over until someone is dead. The manga is complete. The anime adaptation (2006, Madhouse) remains a benchmark of the genre. The story has no peer in the psychological thriller space.
