Synopsis

Gabimaru is the most powerful shinobi from Iwagakure — trained to feel nothing, executing assignments without hesitation. He is sentenced to death in Edo but refuses to die. The shogunate offers him a deal: travel to the paradise island of Shinsenkyo, retrieve the elixir of eternal life, and earn your freedom and your pardon. He's sent with an executioner named Sagiri watching over him, and arrives to find an island that is simultaneously the most beautiful and most horrifying place imaginable — populated by divine beings, grotesque transformations, and other death-row criminals with the same mission.
