Synopsis

Kuroki's new semester comes with a seatmate assignment that has his entire class whispering: Mai Chihara. Gothic fashion, jet-black hair, and a stare that could strip paint—she's classified school-wide as a 'landmine,' meaning dangerous and best avoided. Kuroki tries. He fails. Not because she's dangerous, but because, up close, she's something entirely different from the reputation that precedes her.
